- Dominating the Center (Column 4): The middle column participates in significantly more 4-in-a-row connections than side columns. Claim the center early to dictate the pace of the match.
- Building Double-Threat Traps (7-Traps): Align your pieces to create two simultaneous 3-in-a-row lines that share an intersection. Since your opponent can only block one side on their turn, you are guaranteed a victory on the following move!
- Forcing Parity & Odd/Even Rows: When playing as Player 1 (Red), you have control over odd-numbered rows (Rows 1, 3, 5). Player 2 controls even-numbered rows. Aim to set up threats on rows that you naturally control.
- Avoid Setting Up Your Opponent: Always examine what happens if you place a disc under a square your opponent wants. Never give them an easy platform to complete 4 in a row.
